MUSIC: Bash Neh Pha - Ramadan

Rising Hausa rapper Bashir Halliru, known professionally as Bash Neh Pha, releases a spiritually charged single titled “Ramadan” a track that blends introspective lyrics with cultural depth to honor the essence of fasting and self-reflection. this 3:06 minute hip-hop/rap anthem showcases Bash Neh Pha's lyrical maturity and creative vision for Islamic observances.

From the first verse, he urges listeners to step up their devotion: “Lokacin dagewa da ibada… dole ka dage da sallah” (“time to be steadfast in worship… you must commit to prayer”).
The song transitions into a narrative of repentance and spiritual renewal, encouraging obedience and avoidance of shameful actions during fasting:
“Na tuba, na daina cin tuwon rana… Zan roki Allah ya san matsalolina”.
His lyrics then broaden to address the wider community, businesspeople, the wealthy, youth, calling for compassion, charity, and conscious piety during holy days.

Musically, the beat credited to Zuma, is minimalistic yet impactful, blending soft percussion and subtle melody to let the message shine through. The melody’s restraint ensures focus remains on the power of his words and the spiritual mood of Ramadan.

As an emerging artist from Jos, Bash Neh Pha first gained recognition through rap battles and signed with FKG Entertainment in 2018. With “Ramadan,” he steps beyond entertainment, taking on a reflective role in the music scene and contributing a soundscape befitting the season’s introspection.
